Recognition for us. Results for our investors.
Manulife Mutual Funds is proud to announce that two of our funds have been recognized with awards of excellence at the 2012 Canadian Lipper Fund Awards. Both funds are sub-advised by Manulife Asset Management, the asset management arm of Manulife Financial.
The Lipper Fund Awards is a global program of events held in 23 countries to recognize funds that deliver consistently strong risk-adjusted performance relative to their peers. The winners are selected using the Lipper Leader Methodology for consistent return.
Manulife Structured Bond Class
Canadian Fixed Income Balanced Category (5 year performance)
Managed by Terry Carr, the Manulife Structured Bond Class* was recognized for excellence over five years, for the second consecutive year. This high quality income fund invests primarily in investment grade Canadian bonds with additional exposure to Canadian equities. This asset mix helps to smooth the volatility associated with equity markets, while helping to enhance the returns of a fixed income portfolio.
Manulife International Dividend Income Fund
International Equity Category (1 year performance)
Managed by Duncan Anderson, Chris Hensen, Prakash Chaudhari and Alan Wicks, the Manulife International Dividend Income Fund* is designed to protect capital and maximize long-term growth by investing in strong, dividend-paying companies from around the world.
These awards reinforce not only the strength and expertise of the investment managers available through Manulife Mutual Funds, but the fact that Manulife provides you with a depth and breadth of high quality fund offerings across both fixed income and equity asset classes.
*The Lipper Fund Awards were awarded based on the Canadian Fixed Income Balanced category (5 years) and the International Equity category (1 year) periods respectively, ended October 31, 2011. The Lipper Leader Methodology is subject to change every month.
